Products - Unable to Update Products with Germanized Plugin

The problem with “Low Stock” preventing updates to Products appears to have been resolved. But, with Germanized for Woocommerce enabled there is still an error with “food” parameter in screenshot below.

Germanized does extend Woocommerce REST API in a number of areas and food is included because there is a legal requirement to include ingredients and nutrition for food products.

    Are you using the free version or pro version of Germanized? Looks like adding food params is a pro feature which is why the endpoint is rejecting it. But if that is the case it shouldn’t be loaded up in the endpoint when fetching a product unless using Pro. I can add a patch for this but it seems like it’s likely an issue with Germanized.

      Hi Mark, I was using the free version, not using any food products (obviously the standard Woocommerce sample products). The food type is still displayed although you need the Pro version to use the functionality.

      I have now installed the Pro version to test if that would resolve the issue but still got the same error. There is not a problem updating the product in Woocommerce though.

      If you find it to be an issue with Germanized I can raise a request with the developers to resolve it.

      @mark@uipress.co Hi Mark, I have tested a fresh install of Woobase on Woocommerce with Germanized and the low stock error is back… This is irrelevant of the actual amount in stock.


      And then I noticed that it is not possible to edit (or add) the quantity because the field is not available.

      EDIT - I forgot the quantity is in the Product Summary section…! Not an issue.
